More Flash Backgrounds
Here are two backgrounds that will be used in our flash movies. The first is the office desk which will be used by our pirate. Andrew hand drew this and scanned it in. It looks very realistic and has good depth perception.
This second one here will be used in my music video for "Friday at the Club". I (Richard) drew this completely in flash. You can tell it is much more cartoony than Andrew's sketch.
Richard’s First Flash Animation Ever
I made this flash animation using Adobe CS4. I made it by following the tutorial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7utFEljnCFc
I will be using the skills I learned while making this flash to do a music video for my song "Friday at the Club", hopefully coming soon.
The Modern Pirate – Finished Computer Wallpaper
Here is the finished wallpaper that will be the computer wallpaper for our pontificating pirate. I wonder what's in the "Hot Pics" folder... Aye, give a double click for me hearties!
Heaven Is The Hot Spot Close Up Shot
Still waiting for the video to be finished, but here is a screenshot from a rough edit that was sent to me. Check out that grill yo.
Desktop Wallpaper fit for a Pirate
In our video short for the The Modern Pirate, our main character will need some sort of swashbuckling wallpaper for his computer. We've decided on a stormy scene with a pirate ship and our captain at the deck. With this in mind Andrew managed to put the picture on the left together. It's a slow process but it's steadily moving forward. Full steam ahead!
Q. What's a pirate's favorite coffee?

Q. What's a pirate's favorite cookie?

Christian Rap Song and Video in Progress
We have been working on a music video for a rap song I wrote about christianity. It's called "Heaven is the Hot Spot". Yes, it is a little bit sacrilegious but give me a break, it's comedy. It should be out within the next few weeks but I wanted to give a little insight about what the filming was like. I rented out a church chapel for the shoot. This picture is of the chapel we filmed in.
I hired Ramier Films to do the video. You can check out their site here: http://www.ramierfilms.com/. They are based out of Oakland, CA and they film weddings as well as music videos. So as you can imagine, filming a rap video in a chapel was the best of both worlds
I learned a lot about churches while doing this video. I had no idea that the person who maintains the church grounds is called a sexton. All the trolls reading this page are going to ask, "Heh, Heh, do they have a ton of sex???". Geez, I can't believe you guys. Maybe it's time to end this post.
The Modern Pirate
We are working on a new comedy short. The current idea is about a pirate who is trying to make it in the modern world. One situation we thought would be funny to explore is what if a pirate had to adjust to the confinements of an office environment?
Most of us are pretty depressed in the office, and pirates have disfunctions as well. It seems like a nice compromise to expose his psychological disorders through a very stressful environment that we all deal with daily. The irony being that we think of a pirate's life at sea to be very difficult, but it is actually just as tough to be cubicle ridden. At least sailors get some exercise while swabbing the decks.
Anyhow, here is a preliminary sketch of what our pirate will look like. The key right now is the dress shirt. We're still deciding on his name.

Prairie Doggin’ at the Office
Well we all know that humans and simians share a geneal line... but new evidence suggests that prairie dogs and office workers may be closer than previously thought.
Here is the original black and white we worked on:
